RC122A - Molecular Imaging in Basic Science and Oncology: Radiological, MR, and Optical
Learning Objectives: 1) Define Molecular Imaging of anatomical and biological function. 2) Review three methods for molecular image acquisition: radiological, MR, and optical. 3) Discuss the spatial range over which molecular imaging is performed. 4) Discuss biological processes observed with molecular imaging, including in vivo gene expression, intracellular messengers, nerve paterning, cell lineage, and tissue differentiation. 5) Discuss dual modality, biochemically activated contrast agents used for molecular imaging with MR and optical techniques.

RC122B - Advanced Imaging Methods and Systems across Spatial Scales
Learning Objectives: Comparisons of the attributes and potentials of x-ray computed CT, emission tomography (PET and SPECT), magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy and optical imaging methods require considerations of: Spatial Resolution; Time Resolution; Contrast Resolution, Signal-to-Noise; Duration of Observation; Size of Object; Field of View; Radiation Dose; and, Pharmacologic Dose.
