For the past year, conventional image viewer just displayed the images and our radiologists read these images without manipulation of data on the viewer. However, after the advent of multidetector-row CT or high speed MRI, we have been unsatisfied with conventional viewer for reviewing these CT or MR images. Therefore, we developed a new generation viewer with various functions. After CT or MRI examination, the DICOM data of latest examinations as well as previous examination for comparison are automatically transferred to the viewer. It supports various 2D, 3D, and 4D functions including window adjusting, zooming, scrolling, synchronized cine paging for comparison with other images, segmentation, editing, measure, MPR, VR, SSD, MIP, virtual endoscopy and analysis of various data. It also supports administration of patient's data, reporting system, and teaching file system for the residents. We show our clinical experience and utility of this viewer which is still expanding its function.
Learning Objectives:
To explore the feasibility and clinical utility of a new generation viewer with scalable function
To explore the feasibility and clinical utility of a new generation viewer with scalable function. To show clinical experience of this new viewer for MRI and MDCT images To experience how to use this newly developed viewer (J.M., Employee and S.A, President, Medical Imaging Laboratory, Office Azemoto Ltd.The presentation was made possible by partial grant from Office Azemoto Ltd.)
