Learning Objectives: 1) To identify processes in the daily operation of a radiology department that can lead to patient injury. 2) To implement processes that will improve patient care, limit error and reduce risk of incurring a malpractice suit. 3) To implement procedures that will maximize the chances for the successful defense if a lawsuit is filed. 4) To assess the economic impact of malpractice litigation on radiologic and non-radiologic medical practice.
